The EPA education section is rich with downloadable curricula with grade level lesson plans, activities for schools, kids, students and teens.

Windows Into Wonderland

The National Park Service takes visitors on electronic field trips into Yellowstone National Park. Designed for middle school students, each trip includes curricular materials for teachers and an Ask-an-Expert area with an archive of questions and answers.

One Health Kansas

One Health Kansas promotes awareness and understanding of the interconnections among human, animal and environmental health throughout the state of Kansas. One Health Kansas offers hands-on interactive programs that educate K-12 students, teachers and the general public about zoonotic diseases, environmental health, and the human-animal interface. Besides information on K-State programs and health topics, there are links to activities and resources.

National Wildlife Federation

National Wildlife Federation provides information, videos and lesson plans on wildlife, the oil spill, global warming and other topics. A special kid's section has coloring pages, crafts, and outdoor activities by age appropriate levels.

National Zoological Park

Under the Education homepage, there is a list of online resources, including homework help. Conservation Central (A habitat education program that explores the temperate forest, home of the giant panda through online activities.)

Monarch Watch

Monarch Watch promotes the use of monarch butterflies in education. They do this by providing resources and encouraging hands-on research projects and activities that can be used to teach basic concepts and methods.

Missouri Department of Natural Resources

The “Explore by Topic” section in the middle of the bottom of the home page has a link to “Education and Interpretation.” On that page are and links for both teachers and students. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources offers environmental education courses for teachers. These courses include background information, suggested teaching strategies, student activities and Show-Me Standards correlation on the selected topic.

Missouri Department of Conservation

The Education Tab of this site opens to pages for information on water quality, air quality, household hazardous waste and recycling. The Department of Conservation offers teacher training, field trips, grants, and free classroom resources.

Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom

This site offers lesson plans, educator guides, Kids’ Connection Magazine.
Standards-based, hands-on lesson plans cover topics from plant science to food science to animals to conservation, and they are aligned with subjects like science, math, and reading.
