U.S. Department of Energy www.energy.gov The Department of Energy site has easy-to-locate sections for educators and for students & kids. The teachers’ section contains catalogs for ordering lesson plans by age level, freebies and grants, plus student activities. There are also sections on the science fair and fair projects. There kids’ section has activities and links to other sites.
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service www.fws.gov The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service website has educators’ and kids sections with topics that explore the animal kingdom with videos, online libraries, and lots of links to more information.
U.S. Geological Survey www.usgs.gov The U.S. Geological Survey has an education tab on its navigation bar. Within that section are primary and secondary section links to grade specific teacher guide books on many, many science topics. There is any easy icon code about what is contained in each listed link. Many contain full teacher guidebooks with lessons and activities geared to national standards.
