Explore our museum in Kansas City, MO and learn how the handsome steamer Arabia prospered on the rivers, perished in 1856 and was finally rediscovered 132 years later, precious cargo intact. Located in Hutchinson, KS, the Cosmosphere offers onsite resources for teachers grades K-12. Its Educator Resource Center offers slides and video that can be copied on film provided by the teacher. Lesson plans, activities may be duplicated. Free posters and materials are available. Teacher workshops are 2-days in the summer and various times through the school year. Field trips, scout programs, and camps are available for students.

The program is offered to 4th-6th grade classes in Kansas schools through the Kansas Air and Army National Guard.

The Learning Exchange

Teaching training, curriculum with pre-post activities for field trip to Earthworks are all part of this curriculum. For students, there are photos and information on the various animals they will study at Earthworks.
